High waistlines, guitar strap details, frills and pinstripes: Tod’s pulled a rockabilly punch at MFW…
Alessandra Facchinetti’s father is a member of one of Italy’s biggest bands (I POOH which was founded in the 60s and is still rocking) so it is little wonder that her collection was inspired by a handful of artistic personalities in music, film and photography (such as Langley Fox Hemingway, Lizzy Jagger and Julia Restoin Roitfeld). The collection is dripping with guitar motifs which feature on leather jackets and accessories. Neck scarves and frills softened the rock edges, although the Gommino loafers that are a staple at Tod’s went all out punk with studs and safety pins.
