Nyon, Switzerland – After 1.5 years of labour, Hublot inaugurated a second manufacturing plant at its current production centre, enabling the brand to boost production capacity and accommodate the rapid and growing demand for its infamous luxury watches.
With over 100 new workstations in picture and 100 more planned for future, Hublot is considering to reorganise its space site for a smarter and efficient use of two buildings.
Current building ‘Hublot 1’ will house Assembly workshops and the Innovations, Research & Development department. The new building will be directly linked by a walk way to ‘Hublot 1’ which will focus on mass production of cases and carbon fiber components, and also house the setting unit, consolidating all production right at the site.
Grand opening was celebrated by 300 guests including Hublot’s brand ambassadors Bar Refaeli, Lapo Elkann and Pelé, who kicked of the ceremony by key handover from the existing building to the new building. Jean-Claude Biver, Chairman of Hublot and President of the LVMH Group’s Watch Division, and Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot also attended the ceremony.
