A pirate ship full of party-goers tearing down Venetian canals with the beautiful and feted Londoners, Quentin and Jemima Jones giving chase … Lucy Folk‘s latest jewellery collection, Tesoro, is born of worldly, adventurous glamour.
Lucy Folk is an Australian goldsmith and jewellery designer who has captured the world’s attention with her brand of freewheeling creativity. Since 2007 she has set up her flag at stores and drawn X’s across Europe, the US and in Asia. Not bad for a self-confessed foodie from Melbourne, who has more than just a light case of wanderlust.
It seems that few are immune to the charm of her delightful treasures—celebrity fans include a who’s who of the It-girl’s little black book: Cara Delevingne, Suki Waterhouse, Dakota Johnson, Georgia May Jagger, Beyonce, Elizabeth Olsen, Alexa Chung, Miroslava Duma and Tavi Gevinson (among others).
Tesoro, modelled by the well-heeled, accomplished Jones sisters, dances on the edges of rough cut and dainty, geometry, asymmetry and traditional notions of beauty. Venice is a perfectly heady playground for such a collection.
