Silvana Casoli creates fragrances that relives memories and invokes a particular human emotions: intense and long-lasting on the mind and ofcourse skin, unexpected without being intrusive.

Born in Reggio Emilia – Italy, her main source of inspiration for fragrances was nature. It was here when she discovered her extraordinary sense of smell and ability to differentiate array of odours, and decided to turn her passion into a profession, becoming creator of the brand THE PROFVMO in 1997.

The new fragrance Caramella D’Amore literally translated as ‘Love Candy’, dedicated to the delicate relationship between mother and daughter celebrates the maternal bond, praising love and evoking distant memories: popcorn, cotton candy and gourmand notes take us back in time, a place full of joy shared between mother and daughter such as the unapologetic laughter at Luna Park, your first makeup lessons and lullabies on the bedside. The pistachio gives a hint of bitterness to the composition while the wild flowers – white violets infuses elegance.

 

’O What inspired the creation of the fragrance Caramella D’Amore?

Silvana Casoli : “I wanted to create a fragrance that celebrates the bond between mother and daughter, a relationship so tender and delicate, often marked by friction, but always sustained by love. I followed the same creative process that I used to Amour, a talc fragrance dedicated to the birth of my granddaughter Chiara and my love for her, a hymn to the purity and innocence. ”

 

’O Has time changed the perception of fragrances?

Silvana Casoli : “In reality it is not changed much, the creative process behind the fragrance has remained the same: to create fragrances that celebrate emotions and evoke specific moments and images. In the case of candy D’Amore and Amour, I wanted to honor two kinds of love, the mother’s and the one against my niece. ‘

 

 

’O Many of your fragrances have rich gourmand notes and references to food, why?

Silvana Casoli : “In my nature there is a nurturing element and strong tendency to feed, I have an attitude that is quite maternal. I also have a special bond with the food because, in my memories,food is synonymous with harmony, happiness and gratification, both in giving than in receiving. ”
