Paisley patterned dreams from easy-chic Italian label, Fay SS16 at Milan Fashion Week. Paisley, though named after a Scottish town famous for textiles, originated in Persia. The bent tear drop shape is based on a palm frond with a touch of mystical connotation. Perhaps because of its Eastern origin, paisley was favoured by the psychedelic movement, with the Beatles famously wearing paisley shirts in the mid 1960s. And while the Fay SS16 collection further rides on the eastern theme with richly embellished coats, the vibe was just a little flower child. See the full collection here.
